Aims and Scope of the Journal

Economics and Development Papers (EDP) is blind reviewed journal, sponsored and published by the Economics Department, Mzumbe University, Tanzania. Publication of the Journal began in 1998.

The Journal aims at providing economists and development trainers, and researchers globally a scholarly forum to share research findings. By so doing it is hoped that, the Journal will add to dearth of knowledge on African economies and development. The Journal is currently published annually in December.

This home page is providing abstracts for all articles published since the Journal was started in 1998. Please note that the Journal was not printed in 1999. Full text hard copies can be ordered from the address below at a price of only TS 5,000.

Articles submitted to the Journal must be research based original contributions and not published in any form previously and/or not being considered for publication elsewhere. Research articles, either conceptual or empirical on any contemporary issues concerning economic theories and issues, and economic development and issues are invited. They may be submitted for publication consideration to:
